Standard flesh eared white
I have been secretly hoping to have a go in main class with Seth i got in March from bourne valley hams.
Despite an initial "hacking" into his coat, the auboise is now great an dhe has a lovely even looking coat.
Wondering if anyone could advise me of the standard more, he hasn't got to the size of the usual syrians i see in the pens which is putting me off.

Re: Standard flesh eared white
flesh eared white is one of the colours i have
you could read the standard on the nhc website that gives a pretty good idea.
Dont be put off by size, its only 10 marks where as colour fur and type are more. I dont have huge hams compared to the cream class (although am working on getting my size up) most score 6-8 on size with some really small ones scoring 5
Whites should score quite high on colour because they are white :P but sometimes there can be a grey tinge to the colour or if they have stained bits, then they loose some points.
I would say put him in see how he does. Different judges have different opions on the same hamster sometmes they can be high on the table and then the next week they are down the bottom.

Re: Standard flesh eared white
You need to book him in to the show. Probably LH AOC male class or if there is a white class then that. It will tell on the schedule who to make entries to and check the closng date. Also enter duplicates you are eligible for probably Novice, Small hamstery, Grand Challange?
Hire a show pen if need be and make sure you take along your wood based cat litter and a piece of non staining veg! Arrive in time to bench and collect your pen and fill it add a dog biscuit and veg and wait and see!

Ah we still have them at Northern but only in LH. The others are AOC male and AOC female except for the set colour classes. They all differ so check the schedule
