THE MIDLAND HAMSTER CLUB
presents an open show under NHC rules on Saturday, 9th July, 2011
at Great Alne Village Hall, Great Alne, Alcester B49 6HJ
Show and Sales entries must be received by 9.00 pm on Wednesday, 6th July 2011

Please Note: No entries will be accepted after this date, except for pets which can be entered on the day and which should be booked in before 2.00 p.m. Labels will be ready for collection at the show. Cheques and Postal Orders should be made payable to MIDLAND HAMSTER CLUB.
Doors Open at 9 am Stock to be benched by 10.00 a.m, judging starts at 10.30 a.m. Pets judged at 2.00 p.m.

Duplicate Classes (5p per class)
14 Junior m/f (Member to be under 16 years)
15 Novice (Member to be in 1st year of membership of an NHC Club)
16 Intermediate (Member to be in 2nd year of membership of an NHC Club)
17 Small Hamstery (owners of 12 or less Syrians)
18 Breeders (Hamster bred by Exhibitor)
19 Young Stock (Hamster aged 8-16 weeks)
20 Free Membership Class (Prize Cards Only) (Points allocated throughout the year)
21 Grand Challenge Certificate of Merit Class (Must be entered to be awarded a COM)
22 Non Standard (No duplicates allowed) (25p each)
30 PET HAMSTER CLASS (£1 each)
31 PET RABBIT AND RODENT CLASS (£1 each)
Note: The pet hamster class is open to Juniors, Non-Members and Adult Members owning no more than 10 hamsters, excluding litters.

Dwarfs may be shown in Syrian Hire Pens if no Dwarf Hire Pens available. (Other conditions see below)
Sale of Stock: Hamsters must be healthy and over 5 weeks old. No hamster for sale to be over 10 months old. The seller MUST provide a card giving hamsters date of birth, breeder's name and contact address or telephone number and a box for their transportation home. A commission of 20% will be deducted for club funds. The Sales Manager has the right to refuse any stock without giving a reason. Please note only hamsters from members of the Midland Hamster Club, who have exhibited at least once, at any NHC affiliated Club show, will be accepted for sale.
Show Pens: A limited number of show pens are available for hire at £1 each (Maximum 5 per membership in first year and 3 per membership in second year). Please order with entry and specify Syrian or Dwarf. To be returned clean to the Show Secretary at the end of the show. You must supply your own shavings or sawdust for Shorthaired and wood based cat litter for Longhaired hamsters.
Directions: From Alcester take the B4089 (Kinwarton Road). Carry over mini island B4089 (Captain’s Hill) carry on until road turns into School Lane. Go past a left turning. Follow road as it bends to the right and then bends sharply to the left. Hall is set back on left hand side (please not postcode is about 100 yards west of hall).
A dog biscuit (which will be supplied by the club) and a piece of fruit or vegetable MUST be placed in the show pen before benching.

I think this will be my next show
It was my first show last year, wow I can't believe its been a whole year, only seems like yesterday!
I shall no longer be classed as a novice after this x

I doubt I will be taking a hamster, given I don't have one at the moment, and if I get one the week before in Rotherham I doubt it would be happy to be trailed around in the car so soon!
Very excited. When I got all bleary eyed at an adoption in P@H today Lucy reminded me to wait til the shows. I think she's looking forward to fluffy days out as much as I am!
