Hamster of the Month - September 2011 - POLL NOW ADDED
It's a new month so we have to choose the 'Hamster of the Month' for next month. The winning hamster will appear on the front page of the forum so when someone comes on to the forum they will see the picture. It will also be made into a Calendar pic for September and posted for anyone to print out.
In entering the competition you give permission for you picture to be used in these ways.
PLEASE TRY AND RESIZE PHOTOS AS SOME ARE HUGE AND ARE STRETCHING THE FORUM.
So it could be YOUR hamster who becomes famous.
1. This competition is for the September Hamster of the month.
2. You may enter 1 picture and this should be accompanied by a few lines telling us a little about you hamster and why it should be chosen.
3. The picture should be clear and as charming as possible
4. The picture must be of a hamster of any species and it must belong to you or your family. It may be with you now or have passed to the bridge.
5. Closing date for entries is Sunday 21st August.
6. The voting will be posted and the new pic will be displayed in September. It will also be made in a printable calendar.
7. Please try and post a new photograph that you have not entered in a previous competition.
8. It may be themed if you wish and September has late summer, back to study. my birthday (lol) and not a lot else!
Please do not post any comments on this thread and only post entries. PM me with any queries. If you cannot post pics then e mail me the pic and I will post it on your behalf.
I have noticed that some of the pictures posted are very large. These pictures do not do your entry justice as people will not scroll across the page to view the whole image, it stretches the forum and also it can pixelate and make your picture less clear. Please resize your pictures so that they just fit across the forum. Around 600pixels width is a good size. Also you should ensure your picture is very clear and in focus as a blurry picture will not attract votes. Thanks.
Good luck everyone and can't wait to see your pics

Re: Hamster of the Month - September 2011
i would like to enter my syrian hamster , Cookie Monster.
i've had my little girl for almost 2 weeks now and i have seen a big difference in her compared to when i first got her she has come such a long way , when i first got her she was very shy , but in 2 weeks she has turned in to a loving little girl. she has a very cheeky personality and she is always finding new ways to escape out of her cage . it would mean alot to me and cookie monster if she was to become HOTM.

I know he's entered before but It is his 2nd birthday in September so I thought I'd enter him, doesn't matter if he wins or even gets a vote but I thought it would be nice...It's like he saying " well hello there, welcome to Hamster Central"

Carrot would like to be HOTM because she's one of the newest members of the family and would like to share all the yummy treats mommy has made for her using recopies from HC!

Lucy would like everyone to know that she may be small, but her cuteness is of epic proportions!
She would like to be a HotM because she is now a very sweet and social hamster who loves attention!! (and treats )

This is Hamchan, my little darling man-fluff. I'm putting him forward as HOTM as he's so patient and loving with his first-time ham-mama. And he loves seeds!

Re: Hamster of the Month - September 2011
This is my little girl, Dolshay. I am entering Dolshay into the HOTM for Sept '11because she is a little hammie full of life and adventure. I believe that Dolshay is a representation for hammie of all types who loves to eat, sleep, play, nibble, run on the wheel, create burrows, hide food, groom, and stay up all night rearranging her cage layout.

Re: Hamster of the Month - September 2011
I would like to enter my gorgeous long haired syrian Hercules, who sadly passed away well before his time a couple of months ago. He was a very special little man who always made me laugh, and was full of personality! I got him as a nervous little thing who would hide whenever I walked past the cage but quickly he learnt to trust me and we developed a great bond. He kept me company during my final year at university and always kept my spirits up when things got hard. His cute little face and fluffy bum never failed to cheer me up no matter what It would mean the world to me if he won hamster of the month, he was one in a million and deserves it so much. I think this picture really shows his cheeky personality (and his gorgeous little hands!!) and it brings a tear to my eye whenever I see it. So please vote for my special little guy
p.s sorry for the essay, got carried away!! xx
