re: Hamster of the Month - August 2011 POLL NOW ADDED
This is Jemima, who passed away of old age just a few months after this photo was taken, with one of her favourite foods. Mind you, anything she could get her teeth around was generally her favourite food at the time.

re: Hamster of the Month - August 2011 POLL NOW ADDED
Cookie would like to try out for Hamster of the Month for the first time as she very much enjoys posing and feels this picture shows her at her very best.

Hehe. Yuuki. That's my grandmother's name!! XD And what a snowy little boy he looks like!!!
Although for future reference I wouldn't have fluffy bedding in his cage. X3 can cause trouble. But he's adorable!!
So many cute hams this month.

The problem is that if it is injested by the hamster it can become lodged inside its intestines/stomach or other vital insidey bits. It will end up causing blockages and the only way get it out is to operate. Dont feel bad about not knowing though, its impossible to know the dangers when shops are foolishly selling it as 'safe bedding' -.- The best thing to use is shredded toilet/tissue paper. Its still very soft and much much safer!
