It's very Spring-like here in the North East of England...the sun is shining and the birds are chirping although it's a little cold today but this competition has got me in Spring mode alright
Hahahaha, yeah I'm in Iowa. Where we just got through a snow & ice storm. Though there are robins flying around. It is supposed to warm up this weeks...so we'll see.
Spring mode didn't last very long here, we were back to rain by yesterday afternoon but we managed to get the quad-biking lesson out of the way before the rain came and turned the track into a quagmire

Last night was awful...torrential rain and freezing cold...didn't venture far I can assure you.

Today its rather cold but no rain and all seems calm outside. I'm about to trot off into town so that will blow the cobwebs off and hopefully boost my weight loss...back on my healthy eating plan with a vengeance since the New Year...not one teeny bit of chocolate has passed my lips since before Crimbo...good job I'm not a chocaholic or I'd never have achieved it

Thanks ever so.

I've even tried to find a book about it, to no avail. In the meantime I keep trying but not succeeding...I'll nail it though, if it's the last thing I do...with Pophammy's help no doubt

Jill, are you trying to add a picture to paint?

Open up paint and go to File then Open and then find the image you are trying to add on your computer, hope that is what you were looking for!

Hana's method works fine, but the way I pasted pictures was by clicking on 'Edit' and then on 'Paste from'. When you put the picture into Paint it will appear massive, but by using the roller bars to go down to the bottom right hand corner, you can click on it when you get a double arrow and drag it up to a suitable size. If you want to crop the picture out you use either the dotted square on the left hand tool bar for square/ rectangular cutting outs or the dotted star at the top left of the tool bar. I'm sure you will figure it out!

Yep that was the problem...the pic was huge when I pasted it into Paint.

Will try again and thanks for the info, it's a great help.

Well still no success...I've decided that if I can't figure this out then Aidan has absolutely no chance. He made some lovely pics last night (with the help of some software that was already installed on my pc but has never been used) but we can't upload any of them as they aren't in JPG format...we even tried a file convertor, to no avail.

I think I need to change a setting in my IE browser but I can't find out how to do that so I've now admitted defeat on this one

We've decided just to have a "photoshoot" in the hope of getting a good shot of Hammy with some props...Saturday evening has been put aside for the task and the props are to hand so all we need now is for Hammy to get himself into "pose" mode and we're all set

I'm not sure if this is the same for your program but on Paint and the program I use, when you go to save something, there is a bar which says 'Save as type:' on Paint it goes automatically to bmp, but if you click on the dropdown list you can select jpg. You could see if you can do this with your program! Hopefully we will see a lovely pic made by Aidan soon!
