Re: is it wet tail
wet tail smells bad and it is like liquid and over everything. To be honest I think it is just a young hamster not being aware of the re-eat signals yet however I am not a vet and have not seen him in person so it is impossible to know and you can't risk illness with a baby ham like this. Keep him on dry food only and see if he improves on that.

Re: is it wet tail
OH ok, green poos normally indicate a change in diet but since you said you have not changed his food i would seek vetenary advise.

Re: is it wet tail
i think the green poos were cause of a change in diet cause he had had some sweet potato and then he had those poos the next day
his poos are now back to normal colour but are soft and they seem to stick to his fur
could it just be that he doesnt pick them out? cause ive noticed that some of my hamsters will pick their poops out and toss them to one side (not a nice thing to notice like lol)
so could it be that hes just not picking them out?

Re: is it wet tail
Holly my syrian had wet tail and beleive me, you can smell wet tail as soon as you go in the room - it is aweful and you have to constantly clean and disinfect EVERYTHING, your hammi needs to be checked by vet to be on safe side.
keep us all posted

Re: is it wet tail
I dont think that the poo should smell particulary bad I&N, it could be the onset of something, or just something he has eaten that has not aggreed with him, or that he is not picking his poos out.
I would take to the vet to be on the safe side, my vet is doing a free consultation with every new animal registered - maybe one near you is doing the same??
Hoep that the little one is ok!
