Saying i love you to them really makes wonders They surely do understand what you mean when you say you love them, and absolutely feel your love for them.

I always say that to my pets. And when they were ill, they would really be so much better the next day after I said I loved them for so many times before they slept at night

Thankyou for those words

I'm really hating giving her the meds atm, it takes a few trys before she stays still and i get a good enough grip. But i try not to grip to hard cause shes just so fragile, but she then wriggleys her head about so i have to hold her to she stays still otherwise it goes all over her face!
She normally looks a bit sorry for herself after the meds, but last night she looked like i'd squished her to death she was breathing really fast and sat completely still for a couple of minutes
I felt terrible, so i think it will try givinh her the meds in porridge tonight instead.
Any tips for the porridge?

Sorry Peggy's still on her medicine (I missed a few days due to my stupid internet connection), is she managing with porridge better? Did you try Souffle's method of wrapping in a towel (or maybe a facecloth for Peggy-sized hammies?). Try not to feel bad, you are being strong for her, and doing what she needs to make her better x

i have been using a face cloth throughout the meds which i find works well.
I haven't had time to try porridge, but i tryed giving her the meds more swiftly and not hesitating which seemed to be better

shes bled 3 days out of 10 so far so i'm really pleased with the improvement!
I think i'll just finish off the meds then see how she goes

I'm not sure about the porridge.

But whether the medicine is liquid or powder-type, I think it would be good to put the medicine in between the food, like it's a sandwich. So if you have apple, have 2 slices of apple, and put the medicine in between

It worked all the time with my pets when they were sick, like to small birds

I hope Peggy would completely be healthy again soon

So I ran out of medicine now, the same day she decides to bleed again
But there's no evidence at all around the cage or in her bed so it's very small amounts!

The vet said that he thinks she'd be fine if I just left her and she how she goes. He said that she seems absolutely fine in herself and still has a good quality of life.
So I will not get more meds but make sure her condition doesn't deteriorate or the bleeding worsens.
Do you think that's the right thing to do?

Awww I missed this with my total internet fail. Poor peggy, and poor you. It's good that she's doing really well in herself though and doesn't seem to be affected. I'm sure others will know better medically what to do, but for what it's worth I think you're right.

Dear Peggy, well done for taking your meds, I hated mine and wiggled and wiggled against them till I was really upset. You are really really brave, and I hope you are all better soon

Love from JamJam xx
