Re: Wet tail help
Yeah course Im thinking Putting Hammie in my parents room and putting Renesmee on top of the unit or in my sisters room for the night.
I do have a question tho, Ca cats sense when hamsters (or any animal for that matter) are ill? Because normally Charlie isnt bothered by them but he wont move from under Sukki's cage, and Sam is only 8 weeks old, went upstairs for the first time earlier and went straight to her cage to, even tho she was tucked up in bed?
Obviously I will keep Sammie out of my room tonight, and Keep an eye on Charlie as he sleeps in my room.

Re: Wet tail help
I would say that yes any animal can sense illness and disharmony. The cat will be picking up on the little one being poorly and on your feelings and worry about it.

wel its possible I don't really know much about cats to be honest but preditors genrally get excited when they sense a wounded animal but thats because of the smell of blood. So maybe because she's ill she's sending out a scent that the cats notice.
If your gonna keep the cat in your room I'd leave the top of the cage on just to be safe. I think I remember you saying that you were gonna leave the top off?

Re: Wet tail help
Did i?? I dont remember saying tht lol.
Of course if charlie is in my room then her cage wont be open.
I can't kick Charlie out of my room, its been his bedroom for the last 3 years lol, every night, no joke lol.
They're not trying to get into the cage or anything, literally just sitting there, and when I go in there, they come straigh up and sit on me. :/
Tis guna be a long night, better pile up on the red bulls. x

Re: Wet tail help
Ensure that there is no risk to the hamster overnight. You want a stress free night with no additional worry about cats etc. Sounds a little crazy, but have a conversation with your cat and explain to them that Sukki is unwell and that you need lots of peace for a restful environment.
