Default Hair loss above eye

A couple days ago i noticed that the hair above my dwarfs left eye is gone. Looking closely, there seems to be some redness, and it almost looks like a tiny red pimple where the hair is missing. Does anyone know what this is, or could be caused by? My hammy just turned 1 year old. She has had good health, except i've figured she has had diabetes since about 6 months of age because of certain symtoms. Also, there is a cat that has worms in the house i am living in right now. Sometimes he sneaks into my room and i find him on top of my hammy's cage, trying to get at her. The missing hair above my dwarf's eye doesn't look like it could have been caused by the cat's claw though.. but could it be from fleas off of the cat? Any help would be appreciated!

It is always hard to say what causes these things on line and probably it would be best to see the vet who could do a skin scrape to check for mites and such like and prescibe appropriate medicine. It could be an injury which has become infected or even some sort of growth. I would definatly pop him in for a vet check to be safe.

Hope he gets well soon.

It may well be mites or nothing at all, but a vet will be able to tell you better. If it is mites then it can quite quickly and easily be treated.
