Hi everyone a few weeks ago I woke up covered in bug bites all over my body. After checking around my room and thinking that I possibly had bed bugs i noticed that there were a few in my hamsters cage. I took him to the vets and they initially said that he didnt know what they were because mites apparently arent able to be seen because theyre too small. Asked another vet for a second opinion and they gave us a treatment for him. I have cleaned everything inside his cage changed all the bedding and sanitised everything but they are still all over his cage and I've noticed that he is begining to loose hair. This is the second of three treatments so i thought that I would have seen some improvement by now but im begining to question if the are even mites. Theyre way too small to be fleas but im not sure what else they could be. I'm not sure how to post pictures on here but im struggling to find a good vet in my area that is experienced with small animals. Does anyone have any advice for dealing with this?

Did a little research and turns out fleas can be smaller than you might think, if that helps at all.
