If it was wet tail, it would be obvious; wet tail is essentially severe diarrhoea.
It could be she hasn't been able to clean herself down there as well as she otherwise would, due to her age. Conversely, it could be she's cleaned too much and it was just a bit wet from licking. She also might have set in a wet or dirty spot for a bit too long.
I would suggest just watching her for now. If she's still doing her usual thing, and there are no other issues, then she's probably fine. If it does start getting dirty there, she stops eating or changes her behaviour, or other changes occur (such as swelling in her abdomen), then she would need a vet visit.
