Flat ears?
Hello! This is my first post on this site and my hamster Chip (syrian male) is about 2yrs next month and he is very much showing signs of age (scruffy/thinning fur, colour of his fur changing, weight loss, sleeping more) but I've recently noticed two things:
1) he has is ears flat all the time like he's just woken up
2) he has very dry skin on his back (he has carefresh/aspen/paper bedding)
Is there anything I can do to help these things? He is still active, free roams most nights, eats well and drinks well and burrows. I don't think he is ill as he is still normal in himself and how he behaves but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. He is not the first hamster I have owned but is the first I have had who is entirely under my care as an adult and has had proper care throughout his life. I myself have never cared for a hamster in old age before but he is incredibly tame so if there is anything you can suggest for me to do I will try it!
