The only way to cure a pyo is by spaying which is risky in itself in an older hamster. Anything over 18 months is elderly especially for a female. Once they as going downhill with a bleeding discharge they are quite weak. You could continue the treatment however you have to consider the quality of life and if she might be in pain or likely to become critical suddenly. It may even be a tumour and this could be causing pain. They are so tiny that operations are difficult and may only prolong life by a few months during which time she would be recovering from the op. I hope you get an answer and help for her.
