Hamster left eye is cloudy

So long story short, I just got off work and noticed that my hamsters right* eye is cloudy. It wasn't like that 2 days ago when I last saw her. She's still acting like her normal self eating, drinking, running on wheel, etc etc. I read that it could be a cataract but I just wanted a second opinion before I decide to bring her to vet which could possibly stress her out since she's still a little young

Please immediately bring her to a vet! Cataracts usually do not come on quickly at all, and would need vet treatment regardless.

She has an appointment scheduled in an hour. I really hope it's nothing worse than cataract. She's still acting like her normal self but I know hamsters hide symptoms/pain when they're sick. I'd also add that the eye that's cloudy was originally a tint of red. I assumed it was normal cause my previous hamster had red eyes. But that could've been because she was albino

I also got her from a pet store so maybe it could be bad genetics. I just hope it's nothing that could be life threatening. Will update after I bring her in

It is indeed cataracts. They said there's no swelling/damage to the eye which would signify injury/illness and that it could be from genetics. She's otherwise a completely healthy ham based on their observations. I'm still going to bring her to another vet that specializes in exotics to have work done to hopefully rule out diabetes etc. But have to wait til Monday since they're closed on Sundays. I was told it shouldn't effect her too much since it's only one eye and hamsters don't rely on eyesight much anyways but it's honestly a little disheartening. I really hope it's not anything more serious
