New hamster pees on herself

Sometimes if they are very wheel obsessed they will pee and run on the wheel and give themselves a pee shower. I'd tend to restrict wheeling time to maybe evening only then remove it so she can rest and clean herself.

Oh boy, it’s definitely poop now and there’s a 99.9% chance she hasn’t eaten or drank anything in the past day

Her appointment is in an hour

How do you guys manage to get vets so quickly? I called 27 exotic vets and only one had an appointment within 24 hours

I said my hammy probably has wet tail and most offered an appointment like next week

Is the US really bad with exotic vets or am I super unlucky


Update: she does have wet tail super bad
She’s staying overnight and they’re trying to help her. I didn’t wanna give up on her bc they said she has a chance to live

Oh dear I hope they can help. In the UK you can usually get a vet appointment same day in an emergency like this. At least you can in my area of Yorkshire.
