Default How virulent HaPV/Papova/Polyoma Virus now?

Are there any recent cases of this in other countries, and how is it compared to 30 years ago? Here in the Philippines, I've asked some of the "top breeders" if there were any cases of a hamster lumps/wart-like underneath the chin and showed them photos of it, and most of them said there had been cases, and I've shown them articles about HapV:

HaPV - Hamster Polyoma Virus :: CHS von Schtaubing
An alle Hamsterhalter! PAPOVA/POLYOMA-VIRUS | Das Forum fur alle Tierfreunde - tierliebe.at

And these breeders seem unaware of this virus spreading throughout their colony. It strikes me that all of their answers have been the same "It's due to the hamster's old age, and it does not directly affect the hamster itself.."

I am not here to bash the breeders, but the situation has been neglected to the point where they are unaware of the virus. I am also concerned because I bought a hamster during the hamster show from one of these breeders, and it shows signs of HaPV with warts under the chin and a small one inside the left ear. I have a total of 4 hamsters, three females and one male - this one had symptoms of HaPV that showed when he was five months old, and now he is seven months old, and a new lump has appeared on his left ear. The other three females are all three months old and not showing any signs, but from what I read that the virus will start to appear within 4-30 weeks.

What should I do? Should I euthanize them?
