what's wrong with 2 year old hamster?

Hamsters do make little noises while they sleep so unless you experience them while he is awake and he isnt displaying any other symptoms such as puffed up fur, being hunched, discharge..id prob rule out a RI. Vets have to see the pet in person by law so you'll never get a diagnosis or prescription without a prior, in person consultation.

Hamsters do sleep more in old age. I'd just ensure he has several water sources close to his bed and everything easy to maneuver around in his cage. Good luck for your operation
