Default Hamster fell into water bowl

I was trying to introduce my hamster o drinking water from a bowl temporarily as his water bottle broke and i need to get him a new one. When i placed the water dosh in his cage he jumped into it now his legs and his belly are all wet. He doesnt like to be held so i cant dry hom. He has paper bedding so i hope that when he burrows down ot will keep him warm and help dry him. Will he be ok? Im worried about him getting sick ive shut all my windows but im still really worried hes acting the same as he usually does but i know that hamsters should never be wet. Ive removed the water dosh and gave him a chunk of cucumber im going to get him a new bottle tomorrow.

I think he should be okay, just keep a close eye on him. this one time happened to my hamster when he was so excited about a treat I was giving him he climbed right into his water bowl without even realizing! and that was with a niteangel water bowl which are very small and made to avoid these types of things. so it can really happen to anyone. my hamster was totally fine and dry within a few hours.
I think you should still have a source of water in the cage in case he doesn't get enough hydration from the cucumber. Maybe use a teaspoon/tablespoon instead of a bowl so he doesn't get as wet if it happens again. I know people do this on this forum and it works really well for them. just make sure it's on a hard surface and hopefully he'll think its too small to jump into.
