Very poorly penny, help needed asap

Hi all,
My hamster Penny has suddenly become ill tonight. She's not very aware of her surroundings, ears flat back, eyes bulging, falling over and slow and sluggish.
I've rang my vets and they've said there's no exotic vets on tonight. They said there's one tomorrow but when I asked if I could come in at 8am and see her ASAP but she stated she would not be consulting so I would have to "wait until she finds a minute".
Penny is very anxious, she hates people, including me. Despite her sluggish state, she still managed to bite me. I leave her alone, just making sure she has run time, food, water, a large cage and clean bedding. I don't feel a vets is the best environment for her to wait for an undetermined amount of time.
Basically, has anyone had anything similar happen to them and their pets? Any advice on what to do tomorrow as vets around here don't take you unless you're registered?

How old is she? It’s possible for a hamster to have a stroke which doesn’t necessarily mean they will die

My most recent hamster did exactly what you described about every 2 months when she got old, but she was always ok a few hours later.

I think the best thing you can do if you can’t get a vet yet is to just make sure she has a relaxing environment and is getting food and water. I wouldn’t wait in the vets office for hours if they aren’t going to be available, because the new environment always seemed to stress out my hamsters

Hi, thank you. Your comment was some comfort to me this morning.
I managed to get her a vets appointment this morning and they kept her in until the exotic vet was out of surgery. She examined her and they did an ultrasound and unfortunately her heart is trying to beat but its not working and her liver is very inflamed. I'm at the vets not to say my final goodbye❤
