Default Wet tail?

I found my new little hamster wet at half the side of her face, stomack and behind. My first thought is wet tail. I have talked to the vet. I have given her cucumber and looks after her. My question is, can a hamster become better of wet tail or should she be put down?

Is this the one you've just adopted that's about 2 years old? It could be the stress of having moved to another home if it is. Diarrhoea and wet tail are not the same things. A hamster can have diarrhoea without having wet tail. Does she seem ok in herself? Could she have got wet in a water bowl or something?

If it is wet tail they will treat with antibiotics - sometimes they get better. The main issue is dehydration, which is why I was asking if she seems ok in herself. I don't think a vet would put her to sleep without trying some medical intervention first.

It can be quite common for a hamster who has just moved to have a stress reaction like diarrhoea.

It looks like she have dry poop behind, not diarrhea. I will keep an eye on her through the night. Yes, she is the one there are 1,5 years old ca. I found her behind a ceramic house, I`ve never seen anything like this and its kind a special smell.

It’s a big change for an older hamster and she’ll need some settling in time. The stress can affect their bowels. I hope she’s ok. If she seems ok in herself then as you say just keep an eye on her. Was there anything in the cage where she could have got wet? Also they can get quite wet licking their scent glands. If you think she’s unwell and there’s something serious going on though it would be best to take her to a vet. It doesn’t quite sound like wet tail - they go downhill incredibly quickly with that.

She scared the shit out of me last night. She is walking around, have been drinking some water and she have cucumber in her cage. Only thing is that she seems a little tired or something, but I think that can come of the situation last night. I did look a little at the corner I found her in, and noticed something that can look like looser poop. I think her stomach or in general her body have been reacting on stress.
I have her in a duna large cage now, and were going to move her in to the maxi, but I will wait some weeks, to see how she settles in.

Yes I wouldn't move her for at least 3 weeks, maybe longer. Just let her settle in her current cage.

The only thing I will do, is washing the corner I found her in, change some of the uber out and spotclean.
