Tempt him with tasty little bits like baby food and see if that helps. Try giving him water from a teaspoon so he gets something to drink.

Keep him comfortable. What country are you in? It's not that cold in the Uk yet. If it's cold where you are you can get heating pads to put under the cage.
I don't think he's drinking. I am not 100% sure, but when his water bowl used to be full of bedding every morning that I woke up, but now for a few days the water bowl has been clean and there's no bedding nor food or anything. He only eats salad and only when I literally give it to him to his nest, then he eats from my hand. Other than that he doesn't move much. He doesn't eat anything else. I've tried other things. I always wash the salad, so it's wet, so he gets something to drink, but that's even better idea. Am I supposed to leave the teaspoon in the cage with water and hold it and see if he wants to drink (sorry for asking stupid questions)

Currently I'm in 🇵🇱.

Try offering him water on a spoon and see if he tries to lick it up.

Try and prepare for taking him to the vet comfortably. Do you have a pet carrier? I usually have the pet carrier on my knee with a blanket it over it - partly helps keep them warm and cosy and also protects them from the stress of noise, flashing lights and light generally.

Plenty of bedding and nesting material in the pet carrier and a bit of cucumber in there.

If you think he is dying then you might want to wait and see how he is tomorrow.
I don't think he's peeing in his nest. I have a pet carrier and I've been to vet with him plenty of times. He had bugs when I first bought him.
I'll try to give him some water and see if he's interested. I don't really have a good access to his nest and I'll certainly wake him up.

I am not 100% sure he's dying, but he looks different. Even his eyes are different and the first available spot for my hamster would be in three weeks. We're checking other places now, but yeah. I hope we'll find something.

I pulled his "nest" off from him (it's just a bed for rodents and he sleeps under it) and I tried giving him water from the teaspoon and he just sniffed it and started pulling the bed back on his nest, but his eyes were still half closed. My friend is still looking for a vet.

Sounds like he just wants to sleep at the moment. I remember now, him having bugs.

Can't quite imagine his nest. Does he come out of it at all? You could maybe lift him out onto a blanket on your knee and see if he'll take water from a teaspoon.

But if he's taken to his bed, not coming out and not eating or drinking, then it's possible he is dying. And then it's a case of keeping them comfortable. The fact that he eats the salad suggests he does want to eat but is perhaps feeling too weak to do anything about it. Where does he pee normally? He must be getting up if he goes somewhere to pee.

Ah yes - it will be colder there. It's possible cold weather could be affecting him. Have you tried him out of the cage? Does he perk up a bit?

He usually pees in his bath and he also washes himself there. (He has a bathroom with the same sand, but uses it for washing and peeing there as well). Sometimes he pees and then rolls around immediately after that.

He does come out. That's how I know how walking around with his eyes closed or half closed. We can't find available vet time. I'm starting to lose hope here, but at the same time I'm hoping he'll be fine by himself or he is already fine, just has been sleepy for couple of days. I've had these days as well. How can all the times at vets be booked? And why is nobody opened on Sundays? Even if he dies (which I hope he won't) I would have no idea what to do with his body. I was kind of thinking he'll die in two years, because my mom's friend had a dwarf and he was in a small cage, didn't have bedding, wheel and was constantly bar chewing and her dwarf hamster lived for two years.

I'm starting to lose hope. I hope he's fine or I hope he'll be fine.

Should I forcefully take him? Because he's not coming onto my hand. He used to come to my hand almost every night.

Would things get worse if I took him to a city that's 100km away by train? I don't know what to do anymore.
What I am mostly afraid of is making things worse.
