My two staples for baby food are Hipp Sweet squash & chicken 6+ months (Sainsburys have it). And Cow and Gate Chicken sunday lunch 4+ months (Tesco sells this). All ingredients are safe in these two. Also Cow and Gate Pumpkin and Chicken. V similar to the Hipp one - Asda sells that. The ones with pumpkin and sweet squash are the most popular with hamsters I've found. Annoyingly none of the supermarkets sell all three! I bought some on Amazon once - 6 jar pack.
I think all the fruit ones contain lemon juice and most of the Ella's kitchen ones have lemon juice.
I do get the Ella's kitchen strawberry and raspberry porridge! It's marginally easier to make up than normal porridge and hamsters go potty for it. That's more of a treat though and doesn't have the nutritional value of the baby foods. Although most of the nutritional value will come from the soaked science selective.

There's some waste with the jars. The hipp one says use within 24 hours of opening and they need keeping in the fridge. So basically you can use it for two nights. And the rest gets binned. Some people used to freeze some in ice cube trays to save on waste, but some of them say not suitable for freezing.
Other people say the dash of lemon juice doesn't really matter. I tend to stick to the ones without it!
It's wasteful and costs money - but then often the hamsters are not having it for very long as it's in their old age.
