It is the first time i took in a hamster with unknown background.

Normally, i collect them myself and often pay for their tiny cages as well so i can take them to the tip. That way i know that a female could not be pregnant having lived on her own.

It hadn't ocurred to me that a female hamster like Romy needs to go on a 21 day pregnancy watch before putting her up for adoption.
I have learnt from this experience.

Romy is surprisingly friendly and trusting but that must be down to her personality.
