Default Checking hamster's chin

Hi,

My current hamster Yuuko is coming up to around 7 months old now, she's been great but I noticed recently there is a slightly dark patch on her chin. It's very much blink-and-you'll-miss it because she refuses to stay still more than half a second, which also means it's impossible to get a picture, but I can't tell if it's just the way her fur grows on her chin or if it could be where a cut/sore is or was. It doesn't seem to be bothering her in any way and there's no sign of bleeding or redness, so is it something I should see a vet about? Or should I just monitor the situation for the next few days to see if I spot any changes?

You need to pick her up, check her chin and then decide whether she needs to be seen by a vet.

I pick wriggly hamsters up by using a flannel or small towel because it's easier to get a hold of them.

I checked to the best of my ability and am starting to think it's just an angle thing with the way her fur parts at the corner of her mouth. From straight on I couldn't see anything. But I'll stay vigilant and if anything changes I'll go straight to the vet.

She REALLY didn't like me trying to check her chin though so I made sure to give her some treats afterwards by way of apology. She's now sat on my lap munching away.
