Default Bloated tummy :(

Hello everyone, I have a 2 and a half year old syrian (Male) and lately it seems hes got a bit of a swollen tummy.

His behaviour is unchanged, healthy appetite and drinking just fine, getting around the cage well, He is still energetic on his outside cage time and runs on his wheel. (Not as much as he used to but he is quite old, I figure hes just slowing down)
His toilet habits are normal, (possibly peeing slightly more often, but not excessively and there is no strong smell) and he is fine being handled and doesnt fuss when I touch the area so I dont think he's in any pain.

I think perhaps he could have an internal growth or possible kidney related issues developing from his age.

Other pets I have always known when it was time to start thinking about end of life care and euthinasia and often its when I can see their quality of life is starting to suffer. I don't believe he is there yet, but as he is my first hamster I wanted to ask your guys thoughts and opinions on when you think that time is for them?

I think when their quality of life is no more or very little it is time to be kind and let them go.
Also, if you think your hamster has bloatedness I strongly recommend you try and get them to a vet to get things checked out. i hope he is ok.

Got him back from the vets and they said they believe its a tumor on his intestines. As hes behaving normal and eating and drinking she advised me to take him home and keep an eye on him, that I'll know when its starting to bother him or make him ill, which is what I had guessed.
Hes tucked up in bed now with a bit of apple for his woes.
