Default Help! Very sore eye!

Hi!

My lovely wee Coco has a terribly sore eye! I've attached a picture.

Easy photo sharing | Yogile

He has pink eye in January, and I took him to the vet for drops which cleared it up, but now on the OTHER eye this has happened and it looks so bad!

I really don't want to take him to the vet again because it was a very stressful experience and he will be 2 years old in May.

Do you think this will clear up on its own? Should I use the eyedrops from the pink eye treatment?

TY!!

Hello

That looks extremely painful. Eye drops dont last long when open and it may not be the same thing.

I'd get coco to vet asap, the experience will be less of an impact than the eye. Vet can give pain meds too.

Best not to leave delicate things like eyes to a "wait and see" approach

Hi and welcome to HC!

I can only second Amethyst's post. Coco needs to be seen by a vet asap. In fact, i'd class that as an emergency if it was my hamster.
