Exclamation Hamster with poo in his fur?

Hello, i adopted a hamster about a week ago, he is around four months old (i know, old for a new adoption) and seemed relatively healthy, well today, he woke up and i went to go pick him up, and noticed he had some poo stuck in his fur, the poo wasn't solid, but it wasn't liquid either, it was just soft.

he is acting normal otherwise, he is eating and drinking and running in his wheel.
should i be doing anything in case this is diarrhea? it doesn't appear to be wet-tail because his bottom is still dry, he has not lost any weight, and he's not acting differently

one thing i'd like to mention is that last night, i carried his tank down two flights of stairs to move him to a new room, and he was awake for it, could the soft poo also be stress related?

ive attached a picture of it, keep in mind this was after i pulled the poo from his bottom with a paper towel

any help/advice would be appreciated! thank you

I can't see a photo. If you think that the poo is too soft then i would hold off fresh food for a couple of days or so.
If it is diarrhoea then he would need to see a vet.

The relocation of their habitat can upset a hamster until they get used to new surroundings, smells and sounds but they usually express that with behaviours.

I know this is off topic but are you sure that his enclosure is big enough? I could not possibly carry or even lift my relatively small foster tank so i wonder how you managed to carry your hamster's tank down two flights of stairs.
A habitat that is too small could stress a hamster.

Glad he's ok. Sorry for mentioning his tank but i thought you carried it by yourself. Must have been quite an effort to carry a 80 gallon tank downstairs!
