Default Hamster suddenly passing?

This was my boyfriends passed hamster from 2 months ago. He passed for no apparant reason. My thoughts are that he was either a hydro hamster (I can see it in his face, he has a baby face and a short snout) or some other issue. He also sneezed excessively, almost all the time. He was very slow, never ate, and he was scared of doing anything! Like for example, he had a bendy bridge and was never walked over it once because he was so scared he would fall or something. One more thing.. when my boyfriend was handling him, he jumped out of his hands onto some rocks.. Can anyone please tell me what happened here? Its been a mystery for so long.

It will stay a mystery. Hydro hamsters have a shorter life expectancy but so many things could have been the cause of his sudden passing.
Why didn't your boyfriend take him to a vet if he wasn't eating and constantly sneezing?

Unhappy Re: Hamster suddenly passing?

Hi, we live in a very remote part of Texas where there are no exotic vets near us. However, he planned to take a long drive, but the problem was, he adopted Dusty on a wednesday. He noticed problems on thursday, and he passed on saturday morning. It was all so quick, and it was his first hamster too, luckily it didnt spook him out of taking care of hamsters.
