A few days ago I noticed a dark spot on my Syrian hamster's head. I never noticed it before but it looks obvious now, possibly due to a bit of hair loss on his head. Could anyone give me an idea what it is or if it's harmless or serious ?. I have attached pictures of Buster's little head
Hello. It's hard to know. It could just be an area of pigmentation or as serious as a melanoma. I think you need to have a vet check to diagnose it. Does he seem ok otherwise and how old is he?

Hi, thanks for your response. Buster is about 22 months old and he seems to be be his usual self. There's no noticable change with him or his daily routine.
