Hope Biscuit is able to start playing in his wheel.
Give him a hug from me and tell him to stop that spinning! X

Poor little ham! At least he is eating and drinking. I hope that he gets to grips with his wheel

like the vet said just mointor him, when he stops being able to get to this food or water. thats when you need to think.

He should be fine with the spinning but when it comes to the wheel im not sure if he will use it, my robo only uses his wheel like once a week and he only runs how he shud for like a min then hes back to spinning!

Well he isn't using his wheel at all and I put him in a ball and he just sat still and then was spinning in the ball.

I moved things around in his cage and I think this has made him worse. I have a mini duna and I took the level out to make it all one level. Before the sawdust was really thick as he liked to tunnel into it, and he just used to spin on the plastic upper level but since I have changed it and put less sawdust in he spins even more. I may have to change it back.

Sarah J - so does your robo look like he can't stop himself. Mine was just eating a piece of carrot I was holding and then spun around like crazy before coming back to eat more - he just couldnt help himself!

He could be spinning more due to the stress of changing the cage around.
I know that stress makes them spin alot worse for a couple of days, when i put Billy in to his new cage it really made his spin worse

yeah it does look like Billy cant help but spin, he can walk in a straight line but will do a turn in the process.

Wth the ball keep trying, when i first put Billy in his ball he just used to spin but now hes got the hang of how to use it and i find it does help his spinning by giving him ball time.

Hammie - I also have the Mini Duna - have you tried putting sawdust on the top level also? This might help him a little. Sorry to hear he is still spinning, poor little chap. If he likes the deep sawdust I would keep it.

I Hope biscuit gets better. I have never heard of spinning hamsters but I can imagine its quite disconcerting. I have seen flying hamsters though.
