hemp bedding
Is Hempbed bedding safe for hamsters?
im planning on buying my hammy this. Do you think this is safe?

I personally couldn't find anything to prove Hempbed specifically is 100% hemp which is concerning. Unfortunately sometimes hemp does have harmful additives such as citronella which would make it unsuitable for hamsters.
Aubiose however would be a great choice and is definitely hemp with no additives of any kind.

sorry Kinga, I didn't read your original post properly, do you have a link to the specific one you are on about.
i found one that had eucalyptus added, I wouldn't be using something like that.

i want to buy the Padovan HempBed bedding. It says that it's strongly recomended for hamsters with breathing problems, and my hamster has breathing problems, so i thought that this bedding would be perfect.

Hemp can be a great choice in theory, but not all hemp is created equal. Not stating ingredients outright is concerning alone, but then having potentially included eucalyptus added is a massive red flag that would make it absolutely unsafe.
