Hamster teeth - help!
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum (and also to hamster care) but hoping some kind soul can help me.... I got a hamster around four months ago and am slightly concerned that his teeth are too long. I have given him plenty of chew toys, sticks and nut treats to gnaw on but nothing seems to help. Do the teeth in the photos look too long?? If so, what should I do? We're under lockdown in the UK so getting an appointment with a vet will be difficult - is it wise to try cutting them myself??
Thank you!

Those look OK. They are surprisingly long when you look at them closely and that is normal. Overgrown teeth usually show in the hamster drooling and not eating properly.
