Default Syrian Hamster babies

Hi,about like 2 weeks ago my male hamster managed to escape and go to the female hamster cage, and i guess they mated there so now she is pregnat, and i think her babies are gonna come out very soon, but my question is,do i have to put each one of the hamsters in a cage?or is it ok if i put males in 1 and females in 1?do they still fight?i don't have that much money or resources to have 1 cage for every hamster if they're gonna be more than 4 so,what should i do?also i don't want to sell them as i saw people are just buying them for their kids!im just leading them to death then.

You will have to separate them & give each hamster it’s own cage as. Syrian hamsters can’t be kept together at all.
You will have some time to prepare, at about 5 weeks I think you would need to separate the male babies from the females & at that stage you could keep them in same sex groups but within a few weeks from there if not less you will have to house them individually.
Maybe take the time you have now to see if you can find any good rescues or other places you would feel happy rehoming them.
Do you know how to care for mum & pups? If not just ask & someone will be able to help, main thing now is not to disturb mum any. more than absolutely necessary, just for food & water, no cleaning & make sure she has loads of nesting material, shredded toilet tissue, in addition to her normal substrate & plenty of food.

It can be quite a few days before babies emerge from the nest. Until then it's advised not to disturb the cage or nest and just put food out. She may be just taking food to the nest and nursing them. Sometimes the Mother can cull the babies - if she feels threatened - eg if the cage is disturbed. Sometimes it's just because she's too young and doesn't know how to look after them. It sounds awful but they can eat them. This is natures way for the Mother to do this rather than risk them having a horrible death at the hands of predators.

When you say the babies just disappeared, do you mean you could see there were babies but now you can't see any? I would still not disturb the cage and nest just yet in case they are in there. But if she is out of the nest most of the time it might be that she's culled them.

I would wait for a while before checking the nest but it does sound as though either the babies weren’t viable or healthy or she just wasn’t able to care for them so sad as it sounds she may have culled them or they may have died. It does sound awful but it is natures way of detering predators if the babies die or are unable to survive.
Listen out for any squeaks for a few days & see if she begins to spend more time in the nest just in case.

I’m really sorry to hear that, she definitely doesn’t sound well at all, it may be some complication from the pregnancy or an infection possibly so get her to the vet as soon as you can.

she is better that yesterday now, seems like kind of a Constipation
cause she ate so much in my opinion,i will take her to a vet if she didn't get better till tomorrow,im just worried about the stress she could get from an injection or the vet itself...

I wouldn't worry about stress from taking your hamster to a vet and she may not need an injection. I'd take her as soon as possible because she may be in pain and you don't really know what is wrong with her.

That's what i would do anyway but its up to you of course.
