Unhappy Boy Hamster Testicle turning blue/black

Greetings. We have had our Syrian hamster for almost a month now. My son noticed last night that Comets nads looked more swollen than normal. They had a blue tint on one side. Today that area has turned more black and it looks like it is spreading. Does anyone know what this could mean or have you seen this before? It’s rapidly spreading. We have a girl hamster as well and I was under the impression that Comet(boy)was aroused. He goes crazy if she’s near(we do keep them separated but at times we will bring them out of their cages at the same time and he starts going nuts sniffing around trying to find her. I’m inserting a picture if anyone can assist.

That does look swollen to me. I think you need to have it checked by a vet. They can get orchiditis which is an infection of the testicle and also more dangerously a torsion or twist cause the blood supply to be cut off. They can also get tumours.
Don't let him near the female. If not in heat she will attack him and they can kill the other hamster. It is also not a good idea to have them mate if she was in heat An older hamster can die if pregnant over about 8 -9 months with complications.
I hope you can get him seen soon.
