I think my hamster is dying
SO my hamster Walter hasn't been doing very well the past few days, he has a huge lump and we had to wipe his eyes everyday so he would open them. but this afternoon i went to check on him and he wasn't moving so i touched him and he was cold and not moving so i warmed him up for about 3 hours. Now he's just lying completely still and takes a deep breath when we pick him up then goes back to lying completely still.
we do't know if he's dying or not because we go to put him a box to barry him and he starts moving.

Re: I think my hamster is dying
He does sound as if he is near to passing over. Don't bury him until he has fully passed. He will be still and his body with become stiff after her has passed. If you look at his nail beds you will see dark blood pooling in them.
We would leave a hammy a full 12 hrs after death to ensure their spirit is free and their body can be returned to the soil to enter the great circle of life again.
He will be at peace now and I hope his path is gentle.
