Hamster Medication Not Working

Hi all

My dwarf hamster (female, almost 2 years) was diagnosed with fungal infection by the vet about 4 months ago. Since then, she has been prescribed with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicine, and antihistamines.

However, this medication has not been working at all and there is no improvement to her condition. The vet's response was to increase the dosages and provide a stronger antibiotic for us.

I am concerned as to whether long term medication will have any effects on my hamster's body (as she is quite old) and why the medication has not been effective at all.

Apart from the fungal infection, my hamster is otherwise healthy and still very active. I also try to keep the cage very clean by cleaning it once every one or two days.

I would like your opinions on whether I should continue the medication or just stop it. I will attach some photos of how my hamster's skin looks like so you all can get a better idea. Thank you!
