help!
My hamster had a dirty bum so I decided to clean it. tissue and water wasn’t doing the job so I used unscented, sensitive face wash.It worked and got most of the dirt (poo) off. after using it she kept trying to leap out my hand which she doesn’t ever do. I think it may be making her stingy but unsure. Is there anything I can do in future that can clean her bum safely that isn’t just water?

Re: help!
It shouldn't be dirty down there to be honest. Is it dried poo / wet poo or a discharge from her female vent? Most hamsters are very fastidious in keeping themselves clean. Sometimes they get a little sticky during certain phases of their 4 day cycle but should clean themselves. i wouldn't use anything except plain water and a cotton ball to gently wipe. If she persists with being sticky or messy down there then you should see a vet for a check up.

Re: help!
it is just dried poo, my sister gave her watermelon which I have told her not to and then she gets diarrhoea which then sticks to her bum.
