Unhappy Hamster hot spot??

Hi everyone, new hamster owner here.
I’m a fourth year college student and i got my first hamster about a month ago. She’s very high energy and sweet and i love her to death. Unfortunately she’s still not completely used to me and won’t let me hold her for more than a few seconds before she shimmies out of my hands.
Today i noticed a bald spot behind her right ear. The hair around it is wet like she’s been biting it (I’m not even sure how she could reach back there). I’ve recently changed her hut from a plastic to a wooden one and changed her flying saucer wheel to an 11” Wodent wheel. Is it maybe stress from the change in environment? She took to both the wheel and the house almost immediately.
I’m having trouble uploading the images i took of it but it seems a little red and irritated. I’ve noticed she’s been itching more but I’m not sure.
As a college student i can’t really afford a vet bill right now, especially if I’m worried over nothing.
Does anyone have more information/advice about this?
