I think that serendipity needs to go with what her vet says now having double checked it with them. The initial problem was that vet manually indicated to serendipity on the syringe that the dosage was 0.3ml which would have been way to much for a robo.

Oh I'm absolutely not encouraging anyone to go against a vets advice haha. My understanding of the situation is that the vet who saw him prescribed 0.03ml of metacam, and when the OP sought a second-opinion from a different vet (who didn't prescribe the medicine) they offered contradicting advice.
I was just attempting to offer clarity and peace of mind that although the vet made a mistake with indicating the wrong number on the syringe, the 0.03ml dosage she prescribed for the metacam is indeed correct - as the OP was (understandably) having doubts that it was too much.
