Hamster Sand Recommendations?
I'm getting a robo hamster soon! I have the cage setup, food, toys, hides, etc already. However, the sand I'm confused about.
I've heard great things about Tiny Friends Farm sand from youtubers and other pet people, but when I check amazon it now appears to come in a different packaging, and reviews now say it's dust, though the description still says sand, and dust free. The pictures now show a gray dust type rather than golden sand in older reviews.
I've heard reptisand (not the calcium version, just the sand) is good, and I've ordered that from amazon, but I'm wondering if it's safe? From what I can tell as I poured it from the packaging, no dust rose up as i poured and there was no dust on my fingers.

Re: Hamster Sand Recommendations?
Yeah the Tiny Friends Farm sand has gone down in quality a lot recently I buy kids play sand, its soft, dust-free, and non-toxic! It does need drying out first though, I dry it out in the oven but you can just let it air dry.

Re: Hamster Sand Recommendations?
Thank you alpacassei! I'll have to pick up some of that then! What temperature do you use in the oven? And for how long?
