Unhappy Hamster'Scent Gland

Hello, I was playing with my Russian white dwarf, then I notice that her fur around the scent gland was losing. I don't know what to do. Please Help!

How much fur has she lost, is it just a small bald patch around the gland or a bigger area?
Has she been scent marking a lot & rubbing against things?
If you have a photo it might help.

Vivi that looks to be a male hamster you have there. Males have a much more visible scent gland and you get the yellowish staining around it which seems to be what you are seeing. It flattens the fur and looks a bit greasy. That scent gland looks normal for a male dwarf hamster.

I had two male dwarf hamsters that needed extra care on their scent glands, they can be gently cleaned with some saline water and a cotton bud. That is only if they are not cleaning it themselves, it doesn't do them any harm to clean it for them.

Lunar when he was alive ended up with an infection in his scent gland and it needed to be removed, that was a rather extreme thing that happened. I also found I did have to squeeze the scent glands on both males, this helped in getting out an excess oils that were building up.

For now you should be okay with gentle cleaning if its needed but if it starts to look red and swollen, then you will need to go see a vet about the gland.
