Tail question
Hello
So i have asked this question on a different forum, but didn't really get any replies so i thought i might try to ask here
Basically my male syrian hamster Hamtaro has started to hold his tail straight up almost all the time. I know that when females do this it is to indicate that they are in heat, but Hamtaro is 100% a male so i found it to be a little bit strange. He is otherwise acting completely normal, it's just the tail thing i find a little bit odd haha
Hope to get some replies

Re: Tail question
I have seen a few males who do this. Our Rupert used to sometimes. When I judge them at shows you get the odd male who will do it. I don't think it causes them any problems and is just a quirky thing some do and as long as he can hold it straight if he wants then it is fine.
Just check his wheel is large enough and is not forcing him to run with a turned up tail.

Re: Tail question
James often sticks his tail up in the air, does it for no obvious reason but he has no issues with it at all.

Re: Tail question
Ah thank you so much for the replies
Glad to hear he's not the only one who does it. He is a little bit weird so it doesn't surprise me haha
