Gap between bottom teeth
Hi guys
I adopted a new hamster today. The girl in the shop did a health check in front of me and overall he seems healthy, but I did notice that he had a gap between his bottom teeth. I've not handled him since I got him home because I want to let him settle in but is this something I should be concerned about? He took a treat from me and I watched him nibbling on a piece of cucumber. He seems a good weight too so I think he's eating fine.
Thank you in advance

Re: Gap between bottom teeth
My (now past) hamster, Duncan, used to have a slight gap in his bottom teeth. It never really bothered him, and I just put it down as being due to poor breeding as he was a pet store ham. As long as it isn’t bothering him, and he can eat well, I don’t think you have any real reason to worry
