Default Cookies lump

So I was doing a health check on my winter white hamster Cookie and I noticed a lump around her bottom area close to her leg. I don't know is it a tumor or something else but it had a little green spot. I didn't get the best look at it because she doesn't like being touched. I was wondering what can I do to make her cage more comfortable for her.

Unless she is having trouble getting about, it isn’t necessary to change the cage layout.

Try to keep checking to see if it is getting worse. A vet visit may be needed.

I agree with CMD about the vet visit but if she is in pain or doesnt look like she can manage to go very far move the essentials next to her most used hideaway, house or hut.

Bringing water bowl or bottle, food bowl and other essentials if need be move closer

;D Best wishes for your little one

Thank you for the advice! I'm dealing with this type of situation for the first time and it is scary and I don't want to make a wrong decision.

It's very hard to see what it may be from the photos, I would get your vet to have a look at it to be on the safe side.

So I did take her to the vets about 3 or 4 weeks ago but I didn' post anything because I've been very bussy lately. The vet that I took her to is the one I really trust and has a lot of experience with small animals. We descussed the whole situation and he said that it isn't blocking any organs etc. We decided not to do the operation or anything like that. So far she is doing really well. I know not everyone will agree with my decision but I did what I think is the best for my hamster. If there will be any new problems I will visit the vet again.

Good to hear she is doing well, fingers crossed she will be able to continue to live happily without any intervention for some time.
