Default Hair loss

Hey! I'm worried about one of my robo hamsters, Goose. She's 1 year and 6 or 7 months old, and has a fairly large bald patch on her chest. She seems to groom the area quite a bit at night, though I don't know if this is the cause of it or an effect of whatever else is causing it. The skin itself isn't inflamed or irritated as far as I can tell, so I'm unsure what course of action to take.
She is eating well and doesn't usually exhibit stereotypic behaviours, and her cage is an full IKEA detolf with toys etc.
Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Default Re: Hair loss

Hair loss can have quite a lot of different causes so it can be hard to tell, with females it can sometimes be hormonal but it's not really possible to just guess.
if she seems fine in herself you could try adding some extra flax seeds & a drop of evening primrose oil to her diet, sometimes some extra B vitamins can help too so something like nutritional yeast or wheatgerm might be of benefit.
