I use tissue and Cupcake goes crazy when I give her tissue! she loves it so much and she always looks like she's decorating her little nest

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
Oh my gosh, what a scary experience.
I just got my first pair of hammies on Friday and but some of this bedding fluff in their nest last night. I read this thread today whilst at work and couldnt wait to get home to rip it out!

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
It really worries me that not everyone is like us with access to such a great forum of information and that people will use the old 'But I've used it for years..' and 'it must be safe if pet shops sell it' card
I'm just glad that I joined here and read this before I got my little guy, not everyone is as lucky as little Jam

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
Fantastic news Jam got better & it fascinates me that stores still sell this bedding for hamsters!! I used to use it until a breeder told me how dangerous it could be and I now use shredded tissue or carefresh!!

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
Thank you to whomever posted about the fluffy bedding being dangerous to hamsters. I got a packet of it for my new girl hamster thinking it will be cozier than paper or woodshavings. Took it all out of her cage after reading this. Hope it's not too late.

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
Just a suggestion but when i purchase stuff online for my hamster i always read reviews perhaps if you see the product on pet supply website you can write a review for it give it a bad rating and explain why this product is unsafe, then hopefully if anyone comes across it and see's the review they will be put off buying it. I know its not going to help loads as people as it can still purchase it in pet shops but maybe it will help to prevent a few hamsters owners from ever purchasing it?

Re: Poorly Robo *THE DANGERS OF FLUFFY BEDDING*
i have about 25 packs of this nasty bedding.
i won it on eBay for about £4 which at the time i thought was great.
since joining this forum i don't touch the stuff, my daughter sticks it on pictures to make fluffy clouds ( ALL ITS GOOD FOR) XXX
