Default Chewing Corner of Tank

Hey everyone! Today I found my hamster doing something weird in the corner of his cage and when I got up and saw what he was doing I realized that he was chewing the bottom corners of his cage. When I saw that he was chewing the rubbery glue thing that holds it together I quickly moved him away. Im not sure if this is harmful to them or not? He has chews in his cage and he isn't using them. Please help! Incase the video below does not work here is the link: https://youtu.be/foqntzP6TGE

Now he's found that sealant it could become a bit of a habit to chew it so I would try to block it off, maybe put a bendy bridge in that corner or something so he can't get to it easily.

Hamsters can be little devils! Mines the same. You could try to distract him but personally this doesn't really work for my Syrian so I think blocking it off if you can would be your best hope.

I second the bendy bridge idea. To block the corner. Bend it into an L shape to fit the corner. You may need something to stop it falling over or being moved by your hamster.
