what's going on?
sometimes when i take the sarge out i'll feel quick but fairly strong vibrations through her whole body lasting less than a second. earlier tonight they were so strong she would visibly twitch occasionally. she seems perfectly happy and healthy otherwise. is this normal? what is she doing?

Re: what's going on?
It's a bit weird but they do vibrate sometimes! They can do it for a few different reasons but it is normal.

Re: what's going on?
It's not usually something to worry about, dwarf hams can sometimes do it when they're anxious or nervous but I don't think that's usually the case with syrians, as with most things just be aware of overall behaviour, if your ham seems happy & relaxed then it can almost be like purring but if it's combined with different or unusual behaviour then it might be a sign that somethings not right.

Re: what's going on?
All my Syrians have done this, so as cypher said, I doubt it's anything to worry about! Most rodents do this actually- both my mice and gerbils will do it when handled
