A lump appeared to the left of his anus and I have no idea what it would be. It's slightly redder than the rest of his skin and there's a dark brown dot on top of it. I'm hoping it's just a sore cut or abscess but I'm really scared it might be a tumour. I'll try to get some pictures later (he wasn't stay still long enough earlier).
He's still behaving like usual so hopefully he'll be fine?
It doesn't seem like he's in any pain but he could be hiding it?

Re: Lump near Francisco's anus
If you're concerned, it really would be best to take him to the vet to get checked out. It's hard to diagnose from a description or even a picture and the only way to know for sure is for a vet to check him in person. I hope he's okay though.

Re: Lump near Francisco's anus
It's hard to determine anything over the Internet unfortunately. The problem is that we cannot see nor are we qualified veterinarians! A picture would help, but the general rule of thumb with lumps and bumps is to take him to the vet ASAP. I hope all is okay with him, please keep us posted

Re: Lump near Francisco's anus
I would definitely take him to the vet to get it checked out, hams are very good at hiding signs of pain or ill health so it's very hard to guess, if you can get a proper diagnosis from the vet then you'll be able to give him any help he needs.

Re: Lump near Francisco's anus
I just checked him today and the lump is gone completely. I'm going to keep an eye on him but I think it might've been some kind of spot?
