Not peeing?
First of all, I am sorry for asking so many questions. But, I am like a new mother and I want to make sure everything is fine with my little guy!
Basically, I got Mushu home last Saturday when he was apparently 10 weeks old. So, he should now be around 11 weeks.
He is a happy active hamster who eats and certainly drinks a normal amount. I see him drinking from his two water bottles, the water level has gone down and I have checked with my finger that water is coming out.
Mushu is definitely pooping, but I cannot find any evidence of pee in his cage! Usually, my past hamsters had a wet corner but he does not.
He is not swollen or anything so I don't think he has any blockages. He clearly is not in pain. And he isn't acting dehydrated either.
So what's going on?

Re: Not peeing?
No need to feel bad over asking questions, it simply means you're a responsible ham owner!
Generally, if you cannot find where he's peeing, then there's nothing to worry about. I couldn't find where my ham Duncan was peeing for the longest time, but it turned out he was using a little space inside of a cardboard box! As long as he's drinking well and seems happy and healthy, then I wouldn't worry over it

Re: Not peeing?
Thanks Drago. I will have a good look when I clean the cage out, but I really am mystified. It's as if he is magicing all that water into thin air! But he is definitely a happy ham. I am a professional worrier, especially when it comes to my pets.

I wouldn't worry too much. I only figured out where Titania was peeing after 2 weeks - under her sand bath!

Thanks for the reassurance sounds like they can go in funny places sometimes.

Re: Not peeing?
They also don't pee much so it's unlikely you'd find a lot of evidence. He might be going in all different places of the cage or on the base of the cage. Hamsters are funny little creatures .

Re: Not peeing?
I just found out where Mushu has been peeing and it is such a bizarre place that you will never guess. His wheel. That’s right. The entire inside was coated in sticky dry hamster pee!

Re: Not peeing?
Not bizarre at all, to a hams mind lol! I think I've only had one ham who didn't pee in the wheel!
Don't clean it too much or he'll just do it more, a wipe with a damp paper towel once a week is enough.
If you want him to pee somewhere else you can wipe some of the pee with a bit of substrate or tissue & put that in a litter tray if you like & he may take to peeing there.

Re: Not peeing?
I think the funny thing about Mushu is that he doesn’t appear to have peed anywjere else in his cage
Unfortunately, I completely cleaned his wheel before reading your reply cypher, but I will remember that for next time.
